The group is concerned with the social responsibility of mathematicians. Mathematics is a key science, and has an impact in terms of social positions, career paths, and social as well as ecological and economic development processes.
 
Intersection of topics: Equal opportunities and gender equality are understood as sub-goals in the social sustainability process (see UN Agenda 2030).
